Poet’s Dream

Poet’s Dream

What’s in a name they say

Community in an island on the bay

Of thinkers, dreamers and trippers

Water around, sky above, thoughts blinker

Express boldly, but no blasphemy

Regardless of race, color or faith

Let loose all you hoard and contain

Vivid emotions arcane or mundane

Burst the dams with fiery force

Empty the trauma, unrest or longing

Realize no direction in course

Readers too have same cravings

Post pictures on walls you want

Hide microscopic stains behind

Expose the nakedness of your haunt

Be sure all comprehend your mind

Be warned of your conviction

Lest this becomes addiction

Let not attachment turn aversion

Life is but another diversion
