O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!

A proverbial saying – “By discovering nature, you discover yourself”. Another reads as – “The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration”. Ensconced in the lap of Mother Nature, wanting to just let go, I wrote – “O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!”. Read below:

O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!

Standing atop the mountain signifying infinite might

Mesmerized am I by dispersion of scintillating sunlight

Aurora of myriad colors breathtakingly delight

All else in mundane life, seems momentarily trite

I clasp my hands tightly and humbly pray

O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!

Peering into the horizon in the looming distance

I search vainly through vapor for meaning of my existence

Reflections in psyche, purple haze in temporary intransigence

Abashed to no end, I swear with a selfish vengeance

Is this incessantly, agitated life worthy of my flay

O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!

Swiveling my head above, I gaze at the blue bountiful sky

Gaping at silver clouds floating like starships ready to fly

Bound by this mortal snare, I pine for quietude and freedom

Memoirs of my life, most of them emptily insignificant

Flummoxed and pensive, this enigma I commence to fray

O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!

Dreaming beyond the universe, I drift into the milky way

Bejeweled by celestial objects, heaven and hell to play

Predicament to discover myself, mounting exponentially

Spirit in my soul sinking gradually and tragically

Amidst this supreme infinite ambience, I see neither night nor day

O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!

Drawn back to reality, my sight stoops down on the terrain below

Among the humongous populace, I realize a mission to follow

To serve my brethren in my own innocuous way

Help render the environs, happily peaceful in every way

Driven by this motto, I joyfully say

O Divine Mother Nature, Take Me Away!
