Just A Speck Of Dust In The Universe

When you think of yourself, you are the most important person in the world. When the world looks at you, you are just one of the 7.8 Billion people living in it. Read below – “Just A Speck Of Dust In The Universe”

Just A Speck Of Dust In The Universe

Carrying in mind; ego, I, emphatic self-identity

Plethora of so-called values, principles, ethos, beliefs

Flaunting them around in thoughts, action & speech

Sacrosanct they may be to me, but, Who am I?

Bearing on the being; name, style, creed, status

Out to impress; sometimes even brutally depress

Respect & compassion for humanity, a far cry

Powerful it all seems to me, but, Who am I?

Owning in tenure; wealth, home, materials, assets

Greed to amass much more; never abating stress

Uncaring of how long this is all going to last

Deluded in joy of possession is me, but, Who am I?

Pride in achievement; education, profession, title, power

Lost in the act of becoming, aggrandizing, magnifying

Oblivious of the finite limit of this empirical tower

Everyone has so much to say about me, but, Who am I?

Contemplating on each drop falling down the mountainside

Uniqueness, likeness, togetherness, in awareness, dispersed

Answering the enigmatic, intriguing question, ‘Who am I?’

Realized is truth; “Just a speck of dust in the universe”
