The world is so strange
There is no logic to existence
Leaves you feeling short-changed
With only trepidation in imminence
There is no certainty
No taking for granted, or sure
For life offers no immunity
To the undecipherable stupor
All of science has tried
To lay out the equation
Between man, earth, water, air & fire
Resulting in not a single revelation
Try not, for you can never understand me
I live not, per Newtonian laws of motion
But, in the end, all I want to see
Is supreme satisfaction, that mystifying emotion
