Like A Rose
Look at the enigmatic flower in the garden,
Perched on that winding plant so small
Pink she adorns like an angelic fairy maiden,
Yet she stands so very eclectic & tall!
The colorful sight all a shimmering glitter,
Sending all eyes into a freaky tizzy
Petals glowing amidst lots of flutter,
Weathering storms, frighteningly breezy!
Posture so filled with ornamental panache,
Majestic in her poise she lives in her fortress.
Surrounded by thorns, all none but gauche,
No wonder she is such a mesmerizing Princess!
Fragrance in the air, concocted with a mystical odor,
Attracting all the drooling earthlings around
And when they finally draw a little closer,
Their fate is sealed in an ignominious bond!
In the press of her clasp she holds her coterie,
Of friends & foes from her cosmic kingdom
Dare they even try make a wink or pass,
They would end down the annals of martyrdom!
Alone she stands, stoic in her beauty,
Awaiting her match from a different planet
Like a rose in the Garden of Eden,
All around her, there is only heaven!
Is there a match, will she ever find him?
Oh yes! The time will come, the walrus said
Holding his hand, she will definitely swim,
Through waves of destiny, & blissful, eternal time!
